Assign Policy
You can assign a policy to a Check Point CMA. Each discovered device can have only one policy assigned to it, but the same policy can be used for multiple devices. This is also known as a "fake policy install" used to do an initial population of configurations without actually installing a policy.
Only licensed devices are allowed to have a policy assigned.
When a new policy is assigned to a device, that policy will populate in the Assigned Policies field. If the page is refreshed without saving, the field will display the previously assigned policy settings.
To assign a policy to a discovered device, complete the following steps.
- On the Management Stations page, select the Check Point CMA from the list.
- Scroll to and expand the Discovered Devices section.
- In the device name row, click the Assign Policy arrow to select a policy to assign, and then click Install.
- Click Save.
