Step 5: Access FMOS and SIP After Deployment
During initial deployment, the FMOS Control Panel server certificate will be replaced. Browsers will typically warn users when a server’s certificate has changed, so accessing the FMOS Control Panel after using the FMOS Setup UI may generate such a warning. It is safe to proceed.
-
To access FMOS, return the VM's Serial console if you navigated away to it.
-
At the VM login prompt, enter the username and password of the FMOS user account that you created for the VM.
-
You can choose to enter an email address associated to the FMOS user account now or later. Select an option to continue.
-
You can check that services are active by entering fmos health at the command prompt.
-
Access the Security Intelligence Platform to continue setting up your network, such as adding users and devices:
-
Open a new browser tab.
- Enter the IP address of your Azure VM.
- Enter your user name and password:
- Username is firemon (case-sensitive)
- Password is the MAC address for the VM with colons removed and lowercase letters used. For example, a MAC address of 00:05:95:A1:2B:CC would be 000595a12bcc. This is a one-time password to use at first installation and will need to be reset after initial log in.
- Click Log In.
-
Refer to the Administration User's Guide for information about device properties and monitoring, and other administrative tasks.
