Send Performance Metrics

You can send performance metrics to FireMon Support and to additional locations using the Prometheus API or "remote write" protocol.

To send to FireMon Support

1. On the toolbar, click OS > Metrics.

2. Enable the Send performance metrics to FireMon Support field.

3. Set the value to true.

4. When finished, click Stage Changes.

5. If no other changes are being made, click Apply Configuration.

To send to other locations

Requires prior setup of Prometheus. FireMon's preferred metrics monitoring service is Grafana.

1. On the toolbar, click OS > Metrics.

2. Enable the Send performance metrics to these locations field.

3. Click the Add icon.

4. Enter the full HTTP or HTTPS URL to a Prometheus "remote write" endpoint. Example: https://prometheus.mycompany.com/api/v1/write

5. Click the Add icon to add any additional addresses.

6. Enable the Allow outside access to Victoria Metrics field. TCP port 8428 is used for HTTP API.

7. Set the value to true.

8. When finished, click Stage Changes.

9. If no other changes are being made, click Apply Configuration.
