Create a New Flow Profile

Note for MSSPs: At this time, a TFA profile can only be created in Enterprise.

To create a new traffic flow profile, complete the following steps.

1. On the toolbar, click Tools > Traffic Flow Analysis > Profiles.
2. Click Create.
3. Complete the General Information section.
   1. In the Name box, type a unique name for the profile.
   2. Select a Target Device from the list that the analysis will be performed on.
   3. Enter an optional Description for the profile.
   4. Set the Data Collection Period.
4. Complete the Data Collection Criteria section.
   1. If necessary, for Target Rule, click Lookup.
      • From the Rule Search results list, select the rule to use as the target.
      • If no results return, the selected target device may not have logging enabled. Either verify that logging is enabled for the selected target device or choose another device.

   Note: You must enter at least one of the following criteria. Example data to enter is provided.

   2. In the Source box, type the source IP address of the traffic flow profile.
   3. In the Destination box, type the destination IP address of the traffic flow profile.
   4. From the Protocol menu, select the type of protocol for the source and destination IP addresses.
   5. In the Port box, type the port for the traffic flow.
   6. In the Application box, type the application name.
5. Click Create Flow Profile.
