Import Domains

In Microsoft Excel or other .csv editor, create a file that lists all of the domains that you want to import. For the purposes of this document, it is assumed that you are creating a spreadsheet using Excel.

Step 1 Create the CSV File

To create the CSV file, complete the following steps.

  1. On the toolbar, click System > Domains.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Click the Sample-UI-Domain-Import.csv link to download the file.
  4. Open the Sample-UI-Domain-Import.csv file.

Remove the sample text before saving the file.

  1. Add each domain that you want to import in a new row. Provide data for as many fields as you can using the following guidelines:
  2. CSV Field Values
    Column Header Device Value Required?
    Name The name of the domain as you want to see it in Security Manager Yes and should be unique per domain
    Description A short description of the domain No
  3. Save the spreadsheet as a .csv file.

Remove the sample text before saving the file.

 

Step 2 Import the CSV File

To import the CSV file create, complete the following steps.

  1. On the toolbar, click System > Domains.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Click Choose File.
  4. Locate the .csv file that you previously saved, select it and click Open.
  5. Click Import.

The values listed in the .csv file will auto-populate in the Review Domains section.
