Step 1: Download the VHD

In order to create a Virtual Machine Image for FMOS, the VHD zip file must be uploaded to an Azure Storage Account as a “Page Blob.” Azure supports a number of mechanisms for uploading blobs to a Storage Account. The recommended way to upload the FMOS VHD zip file is using the azcopy command. Users may prefer to use the Azure Storage Explorer desktop application, which is also supported.

1. Log in to the User Center to download the FMOS VHD file (User Center > Downloads).

2. On the Downloads page, select Cloud install and Azure distribution.

3. Select the FMOS version you want to install, and then click Download.
