Password Reset - Control Panel
FMOS users can reset their passwords if lost or forgotten. To ensure a user can only reset his or her own password and not other users’ passwords, the user must have access to the e-mail address associated with the account.
Passwords can only be reset for FMOS user accounts that have an associated e-mail address. If a user did not associate an e-mail address with his or her account he or she will not be able to reset the password.
The password for an FMOS user can be reset using the FMOS Control Panel.
-
Navigate to the Control Panel log in screen.
-
Click Forgot your password?
-
Enter your FMOS user name in the Username field and click Send Email .
-
Launch your e-mail client and check for a new message with the subject FMOS: Password Reset Request.
-
Open the message and click the Reset Password link.
Instead of clicking the link from the e-mail message, you can also copy the Authorization Code from the message and enter it in the Authorization Code field that appears after you click Send Email.
-
Type a new password in the New Password field.
Note: The new password must comply with the configured password policy.
-
Type the new password again to confirm it in the Confirm New Password field.
-
Click Reset Password.
After the password has been reset successfully, it can be used immediately to log in to the FMOS Control Panel.
