Prerequisites

The following are requirements for connecting your SIP instance to FireMon Insights.

  • You must be running version 2024.5 or later of SIP.

  • Security Manager must be able to connect outbound via HTTPS (TCP 443) to:

    • insights.prod.firemon.cloud

    • ws.insights.prod.firemon.cloud (Websockets)

  • The Security Manager user that registers to Insights and any user you log in as to use Insights must have a valid email address associated.

  • You must have a dedicated customer account with a valid license, an evaluation license also works, from User Center. You can optionally register to the DEV Insights environment.

Insights users are recommended to either update to the newest FMOS versions (2025.1.4 or 2025.2.2) or use the default firemon admin account created during installation. This prevents an admin user who navigates to Administration > Settings > Security Manager from being logged out immediately if the system does not have a Policy Planner license. This affects all admin users authenticating locally or via SAML, LDAP, or similar methods.
