Track the Access of a Network or Device Path

To track the access of a network path in the device map, complete the following steps.

  1. Select the All Devices List or a specific device.
  2. On the toolbar, click Topology > Access Path Analysis. Or Map with APA for a single device.
  3. Enter a Source, Destination, Protocol, Source Port (optional), and Destination Port. For a single device, click the Show More Options checkbox to expand the criteria to include Users, Applications, URL Categories, and Security Profiles.

ICMP protocol will require a Type and Code.

  1. Click Run.
  2. Select a Starting Network Segment or Inbound Interface.

Network segments are suggested by inspecting the interfaces and supplemental addresses and determining if the space contains the specified source. Select up to 10 from suggested, or click Advanced to select from all network segments. Inbound interfaces must be active, assigned to the device, and have valid routes that reference the interfaces. Select one suggested to use for APA, or click Advanced to select one from all interfaces.

  1. Click Run.

Start Over

Click Clear to start over.
