Edit Rule Documentation
To edit the rule documentation for a security rule, complete the following steps.
Rule Documentation may be available as the primary output (e.g., Expired Rules Report) and optional output (e.g., Current Policy Report) of several reports.
Changes to Rule Documentation are not archived. Only the most recently entered data is saved. So, if you change the expiration date for a rule, the previously saved expiration date is deleted and the new value is saved. There is no stored record of the previous value once it is changed.
- On the Security Rules page, click on the rule for which you want to create rule documentation.
- Scroll to the bottom of the rule's page.
- In the Rule Documentation widget, click Edit.
- Edit the desired fields in the Editing Rule Documentation dialog box, and click Save.
