URL Categories

URL Categories are supported for Palo Alto devices.

The primary purpose of URL categories is to take advantage of Palo Alto's URL filtering functionality that allows you to configure the firewall to identify and control access to web (HTTP and HTTPS) traffic and to protect your network from attack.

SIP URL categories provides you with the:

• Ability to associate a custom URL category to a firewall rule

• Ability to search and report on custom URL categories and URLs within the firewall rules and custom URL

• Ability to track which URLs have been added and removed from the custom URL category

• Ability to track timestamps of URL changes

• Ability to track URL categories to a given firewall and timestamp of changes

 

Access URL Categories

• On the toolbar, click Policy > URL Categories.
