Implement Task

Implement is the fourth task in the workflow process and where you have two tasks—to assign or claim the ticket at this stage, and then to implement the rule change.

  • Assign—choose from the Assign list, to whom to assign the ticket.
    • Unassign—this unassigns the ticket from you, and reverts the ticket back to the beginning of Implement task before you first claimed the ticket.
  • Cancel Ticket—cancels ticket and removes it from the system.
  • Redesign—moves the ticket back to the Design task.
  • Complete —moves the ticket to the next task in workflow.

Implementation Section Settings

Section settings for tickets in the Implement task can be adjusted per workflow in the Administration application (Workflows > Edit) to allow configurations to be made to automatically create change plans on tickets. The sections available to edit are dependent on the type of workflow.

  • Automation Commit allows any ticket in the Implement task of a Policy Planner workflow will automatically commit the changes to the device when you click Run Selected.

  • Use Enforcement Window allows Policy Planner to consider enforcement windows when performing automation changes. It will only push changes that are associated to devices that have active enforcement windows. Enforcement Windows are set on the device in the Administration application.
