Import Requirements

When you are assigned a ticket, you can import requirements from a .csv spreadsheet in bulk in the Edit Request task of the workflow.

To bulk import requirements, complete the following steps.

Note: The file you choose to import into Policy Planner must be a valid .csv file, with a valid data structure, and include no errors in the requirements data.

  1. Once you are assigned a ticket, on the toolbar, click Tickets.
  1. On the ticket table, click on the assigned ticket.
  1. In the Change Plan section, click Import Requirements.
  2. Select Add Connectivity, Remove Connectivity or Manage Native Objects.
  1. Optional. To view a sample .csv file to use as a template for creating the requirements file, click Download an example requirements file.
  2. Click Choose File.
  3. Select a file on your computer, and click Open.

The requirements in the imported file are listed in a table under Review Requirements.

  1. Optional. If the requirements file includes data errors, complete the following steps.
    1. Click Show errors only.
    2. To delete a problematic requirement, click Delete beside the requirement.
    3. To fix a problematic requirement, click Save beside the requirement.
    4. Click Import.
  1. Optional. Select one of the following options.
    • To edit a requirement, click Edit beside the requirement.
    • To delete a requirement, click Delete beside the requirement.
    • Click Attach CSV file to ticket.
  2. Click Import.
  3. If the ticket already includes one or more requirements, select one of the following options, and click Import.
    • To discard all existing requirements in the file, click Overwrite existing.
    • To add the new requirements to the existing requirements list, click Append to existing.
